"One of our most memorable dining experiences of Portugal. We loved the atmosphere and every dish. The serving staff was very professional and made us feel welcome. Truly incredible food that I will remember for years to come"
"I have been in Lisbon for 2 weeks and this is the best place I’ve found to eat Portuguese food. At first I was worried that it would be just another tourist trap, as we have felt scammed many times in other restaurants in Lisbon despite good google reviews unfortunately. But I was really really surprised by the fine dining experience that they gave us at such affordable prices. main dish can feeds two people easily ! The goat stew was really delicious and full flavor. Chocolate mousse was very good and is also enough for 2 because it’s so rich. Good cost performance and the best service we had in Lisbon. it’s quite a gem. I’m happy we ended our Lisbon trip with this as our last dinner. It might be the only restaurant that worth recommending to people in Lisbon from my experience so far."
"Really cute place, very well thought of decor, service was incredibly sweet. The duck rice was amazing, very big portions! The chocolate mousse is also very good and generous portions! Definetly recommend!"
"An absolute gem! We had the goat (to share), lime mouse and poached pear - all cooked to perfection. Our waiter was quietly spoken and attentive, making our experience memorable. My husband tried the Amendla Amarga - but found it not to his liking and reminiscent of almond cake icing. But of course we are here to try things in the menu!"
"A lady I sat next to on the plane recommended this restaurant to me so I had to try it out. I came for dinner a couple of weeks ago, ordered the chanfana (Portuguese style goat meat) and tigelada, everything was really good. Service was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful and had a great sense of humour. The decor was amazing, the menus were written in old books and the pot stands were also the books. Definitely would come back here again and recommend to anyone going to Lisbon."
"Sant Avo is one of those rare places that instantly makes you feel at home. From the moment we walked in, it felt like being at grandma’s house — warm, cozy, and full of heart. The food was absolutely delicious, simple in the best possible way, full of flavor and clearly made with love. Every dish tasted homemade and comforting. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel more like guests than customers. If you’re in Lisbon and looking for a place with soul, amazing food, and genuine hospitality, Sant Avo is a must-visit. Thank you"
"A delightful find, which doesn't seem that easy in Lisbon. After travelling through Cordoba and Seville for a few weeks, we had been spoilt for delicious, affordable dishes in lovely authentic restaurants. Granted, it isn't so much a tapas based experience in Portugal, we had been longing for some properly fresh Portuguese fare that we could share and enjoy in a non-touristy location. This fitted what we wanted perfectly. The staff are so great - friendly, funny, but professional and courteous. The food was incredibly flavoursome and we took home half of my Octopus dish as I was so full. Such an enjoyable evening."
"We felt very comfortable in the restaurant, and once the dishes arrived, we were genuinely impressed by the excellent value for money. The food was extremely flavorful, and we were both delighted with our meals. The portions were so generous that we had to ask to have more than half of it packed to take away, and they even added some freshly prepared rice for us. We also thoroughly enjoyed the dessert."
